The 1000 SR has been developed in a modular way so that the customer can order the configuration and options as need for their particular application. The system can be configured as a router or a saw. The router is used for pre-routed panels while the saw can be used on v-groove or solid panels. The 1000 SR is available with a single pallet or dual pallets. The dual pallet configuration allows the machine to be cutting a panel while the operator is unloading and reloading the next panel. The capacity of a dual pallet standalone system is equal to an in-line system, assuming the operator can unload and reload the material in less time that the cutting process.

The 1000 SR also has new ergonomic features. The pallet tilts to a 45 degree angle as it’s presented to the operator for loading. This angled loading position creates less stress on the operator as compared to the conventional flat orientation.  The automatic access door and touch screen monitor also add to the ease of use on this machine.

Changeover time has been measured to be less than 2 minutes, making this system an excellent solution for high-mix operations. Typically there is a dedicated fixture for each product. The fixture(s) are manually loaded onto the pallet(s) and registered with precision dowel pins. The most common tooling is a “pin fixture”. However, machined “nest” tooling can be used for more complicated panel configurations.
