Philips Lighting BV and Cencorp Corporation have signed a joint development agreement according to which parties develop further unleaded laser soldering process of Cencorp. Process is new and it is based on laser by which odd-form components are soldered to the printed circuit boards. Process is based on fiber
laser soldering applications, which have been designed specially to unleaded soldering.

According to CEO and President of Cencorp, Mr. Petri Väinölä the new process is more efficient than currently used processes which are based on automated soldering-iron and expands odd-form components placement product family of Cencorp.

According to Mr. Jan van den Crommenacker, CTO of Philips Lighting Electronics, Philips Lighting is part of international Royal Philips Electronics –group and is a leading company of worlds´ lighting markets. Continuous product development and searching of new markets supports this position.
