Vice President, Legal Affairs Mr. Ville Parpola, LLM. has been
nominated as Executive Vice President and deputy for CEO Mr. Petri Väinölä. Along with legal affairs Mr. Parpola is in charge of
human resources and corporate communication issues in the
management team of Cencorp Corporation. Mr. Parpola reports to CEO Petri Väinölä. Along with his other duties Mr. Parpola works as secretary of the board of directors of Cencorp Corporation.
Director of Virkkala factory, Mr. Juha Kantola, Engineer
(Automation), has been nominated as Vice President, Operations and the member of the management team. Mr. Kantola is in charge of Virkkala and Salo factories. Mr. Kantola reports to CEO Petri Väinölä.
Group Controller, Mrs. Kaisa Immonen, M.Sc. (Economics) has been nominated as Financial Manager and the member of the management team. Mrs. Immonen is in charge of assuring and monitoring the company’s financial performance. Mrs. Immonen reports to CEO Petri Väinölä.
Business Intelligence Manager, Mr. Kimmo Paananen M.Sc
(Engineering) has been nominated as Vice President, Research and Development of Cencorp Corporation and as member of the management team. Mr. Paananen is in charge of R&D of automation and testing products for electronics industry. He reports to CEO Petri Väinölä.

According to its strategy, Cencorp Corporation designs, develops and manufactures automation solutions to the electronics and semiconductor industry that enhance productivity globally. PCB cutting equipment, component placement equipment and testers for electronics industry enhance significantly production capability of the Cencorp´s customers. Company expects significant opening to
the semiconductor industry by Singulase product portfolio which is based on newest fibre laser technology.
According to its strategy Cencorp Corporation wants to be a
leading production automation and testing system supplier in the world to the telecommunication industry, industrial electronics industry, car electronics industry and semiconductor industry by the end of year 2008.
Growth potential in automation and testing products is as a result of changes in businesses of Cencorp´s customers. Accelerative factor related to the growth in Cencorp´s automation and testing businesses in telecommunication industry is the fast growth of the amount of mobile phones to be sold annually. In car electronics industry growth factor is the amount of cars to be sold annually as well as increasing amount of electronics in the production value of a car. Proportion of the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies will still increase in the future.
Semiconductor industry is a new customer group to Cencorp
Corporation. New material and production processes demand
significant investments related to technology and production
infrastructure from the customers. Cencorp Corporation focuses to the semiconductor market through its affiliate company Singulase Corporation by a new fibre laser based silicon wafer process application. Benefits achieved by fibre laser are extensive processing speed, high utilization rate and higher quality.
Supply chain management will be more important than before to
Cencorp Corporation in the future, because material costs are over 40% of net sales. In the future Cencorp Corporation will transfer the area of priority from traditional operative purchasing to the direction of strategic purchasing.
Strong key factors of Cencorp Corporation, based on experience and innovation are understanding of the processes of the customers, customer service, networking, usability, and implementation of new technologies. In these core competences Cencorp Corporation provides measurable added value to its customers. This value is higher than competitors have and it can be a basis for new businesses and new markets.
Outlook for the Future
Company keeps forecast published on February 9, 2006 unchanged. According to the forecast, product demand is expected to increase particularly after the first quarter. Net sales are predicted to grow 6-12 % in 2006, and profitability (EBIT) is expected to total more than 8% of net sales.
The fibre laser business is expected to account for more than 20% of Cencorp’s net sales in 2007.
Issues agreed in the statutory negotiations and other decided
actions will fulfill fixed cost saving targets of EUR 2 million
set up by the Board on February 9, 2006. Furthermore Cencorp
Corporation has started actions which will result to savings in
excess of EUR 1 million in production costs.
The production automation industry, in which Cencorp operates, mainly consists of rather small manufacturers the size of Cencorp. In 2006, Cencorp will actively follow the development of the industry worldwide and also explore growth opportunities based on corporate restructurings.
