Cencorp Corporation and the town of Lohja have agreed upon real estate arrangements concerning the Virkkala plant: Cencorp gives up a part of its office and production spaces. The need for space in Virkkala has diminished due to the sale of Cencorp’s project business to Photonium Oy in December 2004 and the forming of a separate fiber laser business company in May 2005 called Singulase Oy, which is based in Espoo, Finland. After the arrangements Cencorp still has 6,600 square meters of office and production space in Virkkala.

The real estate arrangements have a significant effect on Cencorp’s balance sheet. After the arrangements Cencorp’s loan responsibilities to the town of Lohja decrease by 776,000 euros. Furthermore, Cencorp will receive 250,000 euros from the future tenant as compensation for the tenancy and right of redemption of the real estate.

In addition to the plant in Virkkala, Cencorp has plants in Salo, Finland, and Colorado, USA as well as sales and maintenance companies in Hungary, Estonia, Germany, France and Sweden. The company has a total of 207 employees.
